How can we check in VDJ8 when these updates get released, i only noticed by the version number on download page?

use the public builds and all will be fine skip the betas if u are worried

So the b in VirtualDJ 8.0 b2441 PC means it is beta?
Is there not an update check manually done in 8 as it was in 7?

Look into your profile here and see if the "get beta builds" checkbox is check.
Also, check the setting "getBetaBuilds" in VDJ. Set both to "no" (uncheck).
If VDJ now displays an update message it is always the public version.
