Topic: What are the uses of the VDJ8 Sampler?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

"the sampler is only a very small part of it, and something I have never used.
Putting an air horn over your track is for 12 year olds."

The above is a statement from one of our DJ's.
Is he right?
I know some DJ's here are using the sampler in a very creative way.
The sampler can be a massive area of study.

The sampler is important to Atomix since Traktor has superb remix decks, and also they recently released the music format stems.
Our VDJ8 sampler will let us do live remixes.
The capability to remix a song on the fly is important.

I've actually created a song using the sampler.
It consisted of an audio pack of bass drums, high hats, and synth's, plus samples from the movie The Matrix.
When I played it live people listened.

Another critical area for study is the use of sample elements to aid the transition from one song to the next seamlessly, this is usually needed when a songs intro, or outro is not suitable for beatmixing.

I've been distracted by appearance over the last 6 months, I'm only just getting back to the music.
