After I make a mapping change for my CMD MC2 , I hit the save button.. change to mapping works fine.
The next time I open VDJ8 the mapping change is gone.. All Im changing is the number 1 cue button to turn loop on and off..
the drop down in the mapping section , it will show the new setting i can select .. but the mapping change is gone..
Every time I open VDJ8 i need to reset the mapping again

CMD MC2 ??? Which one is that ?
Most likely, what you report is fixed in the latest beta build. The current public probably doesnt have the fix
Btw, you dont have to use the Save button, unless you need to rename the mapping.

micro controller .. I save it, I even tried by deleting the original action (cue 1) from the list then mapping the button to loop on off.. it works fing, but next time I open vdj. the setting is gone and I need to make it again,, but,, the original map for the button I deleted isn't there,,

I just tried changing the scroll knob to sample volume. again worked fine but when opening vdj8 its not there
