I am new here and was wondering if you MUST have an internet connection to use Virtual DJ's audio plan? Thanks in advance

You'll need an internet connection to search and download, but you can download files to your cache to then use offline.
You'll also need an internet connection once a month to revalidate these files.

Don't forget that you may have a phone with an Internet connection.
Most modern smartphones can be used as a hotspot allowing multiple devices such as laptops to connect to the Internet.
Also they permit usb, and bluetooth tethering = connecting to internet.
You do need to ensure you have a phone data allowance which suits your needs.
In a few years time your phone is likely to be the preferred method of connection.
The laptop can charge the phone via usb.
It's a little like magic.
