when you kill low, middle and high it does not kill the song, also first and only time i have used vdj 8 i re-analysed a song to mix into the one playing and vdj shutdown.

First of all, what mode do you use your MC6000 ? There's a switch on the back side for that (CH2/3 or MASTER/CUE)
If the switch is on CH2/3 then the EQ controls are Hardware operated by MC6000 itself.
If it's on MASTER/CUE then open VirtualDj config, click on options, and change the setting "equalizerMode" to "Full Kill"
