Just wondering if anyone knows the future of these units? I'm own a pair of 2900's and to be honest I am not overly concerned if they have indeed been dropped. Just curious.
I've have noticed lately and well for a while I guess over at the Denon DJ forums that the mere mention of whether "they're discontinued" or "is there ever going to be an update to the Engine software" or anything of that nature and the posts are immediately deleted (I'm pretty sure this has always been the case over there). I myself can't be bothered posting there any more because of the way that forum is run and the responses I sometimes read from the mods. I shake my head sometimes.
Anywho... I digress..
Have these units indeed been dropped from the product line up and does anyone know if the Engine software has been abandoned? I maintain it so I have a backup to use on my 2900's should the need arise but it badly, badly needs updating.
I know it's not directly related to VDJ but I know a quite a few of the members here have the above mentioned gear so just wondering if anyone had any idea?

They don't delete much here !
More so than any site I've seen they allow us free speech.
That's even when I'm bashing the moderators, or the chief software designer of VDJ 8.
These people are honest, and fair.
Sometimes things need deleting, but our moderators try to give us the benefit of the doubt.
In particular I would praise The Man And His Music.
He is indeed an excellent, and tolerant moderator.
Three cheers for the staff please !
..and of course Tina Turners "The Best".

The 2900 and 3900 are still very active SKU's on the Denon roadmap, however it's expected that at NAMM 2016 (January), the 2900 will be dropped, the 3900 will be the 'entry' controller, and there will be a new controller like the 3900, however no media drive to combat the like Pioneer device.
