Formerly A VDJLE & VDJ7 homefree user, I Just recently went FULL to VDJ8 PRO INFINITY.
1) If I Delete virtual dj7 HomeFree (from my desktop) will it delete the folders/files/paths for songs that VDJ8 is already automagically recognizing from my previous version???
2) Also, I don't quite understand the new changes to looping and how it supposed to work like my prior usage!??
maybe i'm just mixed up lol
Any Help with these Questions OR TIPS to help me setup/configure my new Pioneer SSDJ-SX2 are MUCH appreciated.
Forgive my ignorance in advance. Thanks for ALL Help my fellow DJ friends!

V7 & V8 databases are separate, when you uninstall 7 don't do a full uninstall as that can wipe playlists and history.
Looping you have to give us more info as from what you've said there isn't much to diagnose.
SX2 I can't see it be too different to setting up the SX

I make a habit of backing up my databases regularly. After any new music is added in fact.
When a new version is installed, or when I switched from 7 to 8, i did not worry about loosing my stuff.
Some people have reported that they checked the box and still lost stuff. When I checked the box everything was fine.
I recommend backups no matter what.

Since 8 and 7 can both coexist, I installed 8 without uninstalling 7 until I felt 8 could gig without issues.
Then I removed 7.
When I installed 8, it imported everything without issue.
When you uninstall 7, as Locodog says, don't do the FULL uninstall. There will be another option presented.

sweet that's what i was looking to hear ^ @blckjck
Your input is/was greatly appreciated. Just had to hear those words.
wanted to know it would have a prompt or option to save em or something of that nature.
I'm in a place where im far off from any DJ friends who might've known to ask them.
