Updating to b2282 reset my settings.xml.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Never happened before and nothing changed on my system. (Except an update of windows defender database)

Best I can tell, my settings are intact. Not sure how you updated, but I download only Public copies now and manually install them. Also running Win 7.

3 different machines and 3 different o/s's and no error, if you perform the update seq again (if you can be bothered) does the same problem pop up?

Automatically downloaded and approved update without resetting settings.

Strange... Actually I always update within VDJ if I get prompted.
As I said, this has never happened before and I can't guess why it suddently happened.

Deinstalled VDJ
Reinstalled to 2276
Auto-updated to 2282

all settings are fine.
So must have been a hiccup, but I'll keep an eye on this.

My settings were erased many builds ago, but I was just getting started with 8 late last year. So it has happened in the past. I too think it was a hiccup then for me too. Would be nice to track down.

Also, if you have a backup of the settings file, could that be restored?

As above... but you have to do it manually.
Just replace the existing settings.xml with your backup settings.
