hi,
i have no mapper with pioneer ddi-sb
system: mac osx 10.9.5
DDJ-SB latest firmware 1.05
VDJ8: version 8.0.0 mac build 2191.966

Virtual DJ - settings - audio - the DDJ-SB is shown there
settings - controllers - here is the problem: "USB-MIDI-Gerät (custom mapping) is shown, so, no mapping
if i "show all controllers compatible with virtual dj" - DDJ-SB is shown as not connected

mac audio/midi setup the DDJ SB is shown
Virtual DJ root - folder "Devices" DDJ-SB is there, folder "Mappers" DDJ-SB is there

any idea?

Definition of DDJ-SB file in Devices folder is not required, and shouldnt be an issue for version 8, since it will still use the native one (unless its named as force-)
Anyways, probably there is a detection issue on your Mac.

Goto Applications->Utilities->Audio Midi Setup
From the top menu choose Window -->Show MIDI Window. This will open Midi Studio
Normally the DDJ-SB should be there by its name.
disconnect the DDJ-SB. Delete the DDJ-SB entry from Midi Studio and replug your unit.
Launch VDJ 8

If not working still, see in Midi Studio if a Session is enabled for Network. (Double Click on the Network icon and disable any session)
