Topic: Broadcasting with my External Mixer

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

My setup:
Pioneer CDJ 400
Pioneer CDJ 400
American Audio 10 MXR Mixer

Im trying to Broadcast using that setup and VDJ 8. I know I have to come out of the booth in my mixer into my computers sound card but how? RCA to USB? RCA into mic into my computer? Can someone please run me through this?

DJ Dad, Thanks for the help but that only tells me how to broadcast when im using the mixer with nothing connected to it. it tells me to plug a rca from booth into ch1/ch2 but how can I do that if I have my CDJ's plugged in?

In that case you need to connect the BOOTH Output with the Line In/Mic In of your computer (or an additional USB sound card), using a cable from RCA to 1/8" mini-jack.

Once this is done, you need either to have a record line in the Audio setup with the Input of this sound card (your built in or the additional USB) or use a 3rd party application , such as Audacity to record your mix.
