Just tried to install and test VDJ8 on a Windows 10 workstation. Unfortunately, the program will not install completely and it won't start either.
Even in Windows 8 compatibility modus, it doesn't work.
I just saw Microsoft announced Windows 10 is coming this summer... For free!
I think there will be a lot of posts here in the forum after the release :)

oops, my bad...
It does install and start.. I see Windows 10 is completely designed for using with Microsoft accounts, while I'm testing with a domain account from work.
When I manual set NTFS permissions for domain accounts on the folder VirtualDJ (located in Program Files folder), it works.

Are you the administrator at your company?
We aren't even allowed to use the USB ports, they are blocked.
And we can't download and install anything from the web.

I rule!
LOL Yes, I'm the network architect en sysadmin that test and install all the new stuff (smartphone, pc, notebooks, tablets etc) and make them work in our environment including that of all our customers.
I got the Windows 10 a while ago from Microsoft to test it out. I'm only using this in our test environment and not in production (Microsoft also say to NOT install in production environment)
Also this (technical) version will end when the Consumer version arrives. So no upgrade path for this system.
And I'm the one that blocks the web installers and usb ports of our employees too :) that's why our network is so stable :)

I know, I installed the preview on my desktop pc at home.
And your job sounds like fun if you are allowed to mess around with all the new stuff :)
We recently got new 3500 Euro developer notebooks but aren't granted admin rights. And so are not able to install anything, that doesn't already exist on the notebook. We aren't even allowed to install Visual Studio... on a developer notebook... just due to stupid company policies.
Right now, the laptop is just a very expensive email client... such a big fail...

Maybe I have to introduce myself at your company :) let them see that employees can help make the environment better and maybe increase functionality that leads to higher business results instead of keep them short on the leash.

Ive been running the preview of windows 10 with Virtual DJ 8 Lte, I use a Pioneer XDJ-R1 as the controller I had not installation problem and the software runs ok but has a few issues which could be down to the age of the laptop or the software. I have notice that the tracks seem to jump from time to time on the latest build of Virtual DJ8. I cannot be certain if it is VDJ8 or if its the latest update of Windows 10. I tried the 10 min demo of the full version which seems to run ok but only having 10 mins to try it out I cant really give a fair valuation of its stability.
I have tried VDJ7 on the same setup and it seems to run ok but as again it is an LE version I can only use it on a single laptop and I already have it installed on my main laptop so I am limited to the length of time I can run the le version before being kicked out which is a sham.
