Topic: how to setup controller when disconnected

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

my dj setup includes 2 pioneer cdj 2000 and 1 pioneer djm 2000.
in virtual dj 7 i was able to keep my equipment in the garage and not need it to setup what each button does.
with version 8 i have not yet figured out how to do that. .. assuming that it's still possible to setup the buttons without bringing it out of the garage.. and yes i am a pro user.
please advise.

Just go on mappers, right click on "keyboard" and select "Show disconnected devices"
Now all devices supported by VirtualDj will appear.
Scroll until you find the one you want to edit, click on it and start editing! :)

For everyone who is just seeing this..

In version 7 that would be the case.

But in version 8. Click on "Mappers" then right click on the keyboard to see the popup menu then selected "show all controllers compatible with virtual DJ"
