Any possibilities to use Pioneer XDJ 1000 with VDJ 8 in the near future?

In the future, Yes. In the near one, No.

We can't provide an ETA, but we are working on this as we speak.

It should be available. Try with the latest build 2338.1016

I have been waiting for this for sometime. I have used custom made mapper/ device files with some limitations. Let me try the updated Vdj build. I see now xdj 1000 is listed among natively supported cotrollers in Virtualdj website. Will be great for me to confirm if its working smoothly. Thank you!

VDJ detects the XDJ1000 and can stream the sound from the unit (no need anymore of an external soundcard)
Scratch is working smoothly
Song browsing is a bit laggy (smooth on vdj screen)
No waveforms /No grid displayed on the unit
It appears you can't enable slip mode (it is flashing one time but not keeped activated)
Didn't find a way to enable loops via the touch screen either

The quantize button is uneffective (logic)
sync is triggering VDJ sync as expected

Beat jump and cues ok

It is just missing the loop mode button for me to be a real controller and trigger loops on the fly
Regarding the waveform, I am highly negtive about the fact pioneer can let any other DJ software display the waveforms on the unit (seems that no DJ software achieved that with this piopio gear ?)

If you mean cover display when browsing, that's by design to avoid sending too much data at once causing overal performance issues.

That's not possible at the moment due to firmware restrictions

I can't reproduce. SLIP activates as usual

Can't reproduce either. Loops are working fine here. Keep in mind that when SLIP is active the loop buttons on the touch screen will perform a loop roll while pressed rather than a loop. So, if you have SLIP active you need to hold the loop buttons in order to operate

Quantize button is set to enable/disble "smart cue" which only affects hot cues

Please test again and let us know if you have any more questions... :)

For us everrything is working fine. Except the only things we are missing are the waveform and time lapse displays on the xdj-1000 units. Deejays got look at the computer screen instead. Are there plans to include those features to be showing on device screen in future releases?. That will make things more perfect.

Progress bar waveform works here just fine. Mind you that with a recent update we changed the default mapper to also show shadows (not uniform color) as per nexus models. So, perhaps if you don't use the native mapper you want to try again with the factory default mapping.

Time display works here as well. Both for Elapsed, or Remain time.

The big "scratch" waveforms cannot be supported at the moment because either there's not such ability on the firmware of the device, or Pioneer does not release any info on how this can be done.
If either from two changes, then we will add support for that in the future.
