Topic: 3.4 on windows 8.1?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I'm trying to run 3.4 on windows 8.1, but its not compatible. Is there a way to make it work. I just mess around at home, so don't want to spend more on it....thanks!

Please don't post the same message more than once.

Why are you trying to run such a prehistoric version? VDJ 3.4 is from 2006 (a year before you joined).

VDJ 8 is free to download for home use, and it will run fine on the latest computers.

Is that some DJConsole Edition (bundled with old Hercules DJConsole) ?

Too old to run in the latest OS, but you may try to run the application in Compatibility (right click on the VirtualDJ icon-->Properties)

If not working, then you have the following choices.
- Downgrade to Windows 7 or XP
- Purchase a Plus or Pro Infinity license which will allow you to use your controller with the latest version of VirtualDJ.
- Buy a newer controller :)

Yeah, its the old herules dj counsel. I don't dj anymore and just goof around at home, so that's why I use the antique. I did d/l home version 8, but it only allows you to use the external mixers for 10 mins a session
