Topic: Soundcard / external mixer question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

First off let me apologize because I am not sure if this is the most appropriate section for this.

I have been djing for a little over a year and am starting to do bigger and bigger college parties.

I currently use a Numark Mixtrack 2 (NOT Pro) and a USB soundcard.

When I DJ Both my board and soundcard are connected to my computer via usb, and my computer auxilary port is connected from the computer to an amplifier that outputs to several speakers.

I am looking to get rid of my crappy $5 usb soundcard that causes clipping and replace it with something higher quality. I have started looking but I have no Idea what I actually need.

Would something like this do? Thank in advance for all replies!

A simple but good external Soundcard ( which supports Asio Driver for low Lantency ) would be fine if it should replace your (cheap) USB Soundcard.
Possibly the Behringer will do but no idea how good the build in interface is.
Have a look for :
Focusrite Saffire USB
Hercules Deejay Trim
NI Audio 2

I did this a few years back

Hope that helps...... 👍
