Sorry Ovi thought I had posted. I liked your journey and the mixing was great.
Not sure is I would have enjoyed it in a club though and not to keen on the cheesy Floyd remix (LOL)

Well...
With many thanks to Moramax for the suberb mapper for the BCD3000 unit, I've finally got round to being able to use the software properly! So I've put together this 19 minute minimix and would welcome all your feedback on what your think. The idea of this is is not so much the song selection but to get feedback of what you all think of my mixing skills, as I'm just a bedroom DJ at the moment but I am hoping to start getting off my ass and getting some work. This mix is recorded straight off as it happens in VDJ, so this is effectively "live" as it plays (although it was the fourth attempt before I nailed all the transitions!).

Just to confuse you all, Hammer is the name I'm going to be operating under, and track 10 is my remix of an old Terry Hall song I used to love (it's still in progress at the moment as the timing is not quite right, as you will hear!)
All feedback is welcome (positive and negative) as I say I'm very much trying to learn these skills at the moment and any advice tricks and tips anyone is willing to give would be welcome as the idea of these mini mixes is to get them on CD and hand them about the various local clubs to see if someone will give me a gig once they can hear what I can do with this setup. I used VDJ, lots of cue points and loops and my BCD3000 to do this.

The last track in the second mix reminds me at Paul Hardcastle...

I'm learning to DJ on Virtual DJ using a Hercules mixer (is there any other way of DJing on Virtual DJ?). I can't really DJ in real life, mainly because l don't have any turntables, and also because l am really bad at it without a PC (but like most things, including PC DJing, it takes practice).
Anyway, here's one of my first mixes that l actually liked listening to, done after a few days of serious practising. That is to say, l practised DJing on Virtual DJ in general, not that l practised this particular set, which was all done on the fly.
Please let me know what you think, don't hold back!
I'll put the playlist up if l get any response to this post.
