Topic: Timecode VDJ 8, with behringer UCA 222

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi everybody,
it's been a long time since I hooked up the turntables, but I thought i would give it a try.

attempting to use the behringer UCA 222

success in getting sound out of it. and when monitor is on, I can hear the timecode signal coming out of the speakers, but when attempting to calibrate, i get "no timecode connected"

occasionally it will see the timecode and play for just a second when i click apply in the menu of vdj, but thats all.

anybody? anything ?

the UCA 22 is working with mixxx, not great 22ms latency, but it does work.

this new audio menu has me confused, because I don't see any option to use the UCA 222 exclusively. all I see is "two soundcards"

any insight appreciated :)

I tried to same hardware in vdj pro 7.

I had to dial up the gain, and set the timecode to relative, and then it worked.

how do I turn up the gain in VDJ 8?

ok, so after using VDJ 7 and turning up the gain for the timecode, I went back to 8, and it recognized and calibrated the timecode.

it still would work until I continually went to audio settings and clicked "apply"
I wasn't changing any setting, just hitting apply.
finaly, I went back to the UI and pushed the record forward and it started working.
still kinda acting funky, but when it does work, the timecode control and sound are both good :)
