Topic: VDJ7 and Pioneer CDJ350s

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I haven't been here, in, like...... years!

Ok, got an issue. Yesterday I had set up my 2 CDJ350's with USB <> Laptop.. Drivers installed fine, however in Virual DJ, both CDJ's are called the same, but according to this guy ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P7tcYBlNlM ), one is labled MIDI.. So, when I play a track on one deck, the track displays on both CDJ's!.....

Today, I've sorted the 2 CDJ's, had to change MIDI channel on 1....

---------

Now the mixer part.... Even if I selected "external mixer" in VDJ, VDJ still uses its internal one, so if the xfader (in VDJ) is in the middle and I try cuing the 2d cdj, both decks play out loud.. Plus the external mixer's channel volume sliders are in reverse as to that of is xfader.... Weird.

Anyone successfully have this combo set up? Any ideas?

Here's my kit if anyone is interested: http://imgur.com/a/Bq7LL

After playing around, the xfader and volumes on the mixer are left=left, right=right.. perfect....

Now it's just the xfader in VDJ..... Apart from this, everything is rocking, no latency issues, buzzes, etc.

Not sure what I did, but it's all now working as it should with the VDJ xfader in the centre.

Hope you like the set up anyway :)
