hey guys,
just made the jump and started using a paid/full version of vdj with some CDJs. Had no dramas with v7, but had to upgrade to 8 to be able to use my licence - but now when I try and select music from the hard drive, the main folders come up but the sub folders/songs in the music folder won't come up..
Can browse the videos folder just fine.
Are there limitations to the amount of data in a folder before it can't be recognised anymore? any other ideas? like I say worked perfectly on v7.
Music on the mac's hard drive are fine but it's not big enough to contain all of my music

If you would like to display all songs of a folder including subfolders, just do a right-click on the rootfolder and choose "recurse" from the menu.
But this is NOT recommended, especially if there are thousands of files in the folders.
Why, you might ask.
The recurse option is searching for the files directly on your hdd which is slower or could be really slow depending on the amount of files.
It is recommended to search for your files using the search textbox. That way it is searching the VDJ database.xml which is much faster.
