can anyone tell me if NUMARK IDJ2 controller not the idj2go will work with virtual dj software?

You mean this one?
It's not a controller, so no. It doesn't have a USB B (peripheral) connection.
It works from an iPod or connected flash drive/hard drive.

It's still perfectly usable. Put some music on a hard drive or flash key and you can DJ.
