I have just got a new webcam in the hope it would improve the picture quality and support widescreen which my old one didn't appear to do. However, I'm having the same issue. My camera shows a 16:9 HD image when using the web cam app but not within VDJ. How can I adjust the resolution? Also the picture is very dull in VDJ compared to the app which I presume is auto correcting the brightness etc. Am I stuck with a poor quality image?

My web cam is the Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1425.
