Western Digital My Passport Ultra 2TB. I also have two My passport 1TB, that are not Ultra. I don't even use them, they are just backups. I use WD Internals, as I use a desktop. My point, I only use WD.

At the moment I have a WD Essentials 1TB that I've been using today (but its a work drive so can't keep it aside for music stuff solely) but I agree I do prefer WD - I will prob end up getting another for this now you've said that as well - Thanks

WD and all hard drive manufactures have failures. I had a pretty new 2 TB WD my book fail last month. I lost 150 gigs of music because I I trusted the WD drive. I still have most of my music on backup hard drives - I just didn't do a recent backup of newer music
The point is though - have more than one hard drive for backups no matter what manufacture you use.
