The website was updated last week and as such the sign in process was changed.
You can now log in with email addresses in addition to you username.
If you only use one machine/device then you will remain logged in (unless you hit the SIGN OUT button obviously). If you use a different machine or your phone/tablet then it will log you out of one instance and keep you signed in on the new device.

What about "My Downloads"? I don't have that button anymore.

Check in "My Account".

Well its great, since 2005 I've had to sign in every time no matter what browser or computer I was using.
