Topic: Video connection

Sorry for posing a basic question, but I do not know the answer.

I have a MacBook Pro. I am running VDJPro. I have a controller. Things work fine.

I have been watching video on a display box on my laptop. I now want to run the video onto my TV. So I purchased a mini display port to HDMI. I connected it, but what's happening is the entire laptop screen is transferring over to the TV. I only want the video to transfer to the TV.

What steps do I have to do to make this happen?

Best to you techs out there that can assist. Your insight is much appreciated.

Go to CONFIG, Video-tab, and change "Window" to YOUR TV output.
 
I tried that. No difference.

I am only trying to get the video on my television. For some reason its giving me only what's on my entire screen of my laptop.
 
Turn off "Mirroring" on your Macbook Pro

Then the above should work.
 
I missed to mention that. I thought that's supposed to be given, lol.
