Just karaoke or video as well??
Posted Sun 06 Apr 14 @ 12:20 pm
just karaoke i think

check video - if video is a probelm too, then it points to a graphics card or cable issue.
If only karaoke then thats strange.

will do as i said tried different cables and monitors still sameif it was a card issue surely it would not just change words (cdg) to different colours?
Posted Sun 06 Apr 14 @ 12:51 pm
is the background black though?? if so it might be changing everything but you can only see the colours.

nVidia graphics card? have you activated 3d gaming (as in using coloured glasses to create 3d effect?)
Posted Sun 06 Apr 14 @ 3:12 pm
Thats what i was thinking Mark. If it is just Karaoke, then thats odd - but my guess is the whole video output is affected.

have you changed your output settings or refresh rate, ie: 60hertz 75 - 80... is 32 bit colour showing?
try running on windows media, see if the same problem occurs.

Certainly points to a graphics card issue.
I'd try uninstalling the driver then reinstalling. Before anything else.

I forgot to add depending on the type of screen it is, normal settings should be on your output side set at 1024x768, if re adjusting to this mark and works ok you can then find out which setting is giving you the problem.
But been in a venue with a mixture of screen sizes and picture quality the setting of 1024x768 on your second display normally covers most bases, where as a higher setting will give you better quality it will go into 16.9 format (or letter box).

Do you have another machine to confirm it isn't cabling or the external display??
