The question is this? If auto dj was available for use between two decks would you like this feature and use it . This is not meant to be an argument of dj styles, we all see thing differently. Im just curious as to how many dj's would use the feature.

Not needed in my opinion cause we can use however many decks we want.

If I remember correctly, previous versions of VDJ did this and I hated it. The reason being is that I couldn't use either deck to listen to something else if the need arose. For instance, I have a cocktail music playlist, when I would auto-mix, it would take song #1 and put it in deck #1, song #2 in deck #2, song#3 in deck #1, etc. so right before intros, I couldn't listen to any intro music unless I stopped the auto mix. I would up end up using a CD for cocktail so I could have VDJ freed up. I love it much better the current way, where it only takes up one deck.

Are you talking about automix mixing between left deck and right deck? If so, there is no need for a survey as the software did this in previous versions (can't remember exactly which version it changed) so it's already been done and everyone using the software then to today knows why it is the way it is now, which is much better as the person above me stated.

The thing is..........in the days when VDJ only had two decks, obviously automixing using two decks caused problems because there was no spare, so it was put onto a single deck - but now when we have access to 99 max decks, why should using two for automix be an issue?

Because it would need to know WHICH two decks to use.
PS:
If anyone wants to use a two decks automix then it's still possible.
Map a keyboard button to "automix_dualdeck" and press it once...
Voila!!!
PS2: Automix in two decks is deprecated

Seriously, it was a nightmare, it's a lot better on one deck. Why would you want the old system back?

I have my virtual dj set up with the four deck skin layout. I have gotten used to one single deck automix. I would love to able to put a song in another deck set the tempo and be free to make a nature call and have the next song come in at the correct tempo on automix. Now if you could sync tempo to the same deck you would accomplish the same thing. Of course there are work arounds like make sure you know the next song will match up at the 0 position or make the next song a slow dance. While I'm in the booth I pull down the volumes on one of the other decks if I need to check tempo. VDJ usually get's the tempo real close. A feature I like.
My question about the automix_dual deck is. Will that be a one time auto mix or will it automix back and forth from the playlist. If you decide to get out of that automix how would that work?

Hey, if he wants it, he now has a way to map it. Virtual DJ has moved on.
