If your going to buy a pair of speakers for simple gigs, Why not just get two Alto 12s. TS112A. I have my jbls Prx615 for big gigs and I have the altos for baby showers, BBQ, Simple etc. The Yamaha speakers are really good but for simple, almost any speaker will do as long is it sounds good. Mackie Thump, Altos, Even Gemini speakers.. I actually heard Gemini and they have better sound detail compared to Behringer which is kind of like a flat sound.

I have a pair of DXR12s and I love them. I found the DXR10s to be a bit bass light and the DXR15s to be a little muddled in the mid range but the 12s are fantastic. I provided the PA for a rock band last week in a medium sized pub and they rocked. I think that they are the best value for money ever. I'm not so sure about my DXS15s though.

DXR for me, descent sound and durable too. Just wait to you've dialed them in with your 15's and some subs, what a sound for the money they cost.

I use DXR12 and love them
Easy to setup and its easy to multiply them, 4 of them and a couple of subs and you can play for some big crowds..
the BIG + is all the input/link opportunities
