Hi VDJ community,
I'm a 3 hour old user of Virtual DJ Pro Full and I'm having an absolute terrible experience so far. I've been a user of Scratch Live and Serato DJ since they first developed. My recent exploration of Virtual Dj is so I can offer my clients Karaoke and not have to switch between Serato and VirtualDJ. My current setup includes a QuadCore 750GB 4GBRam Macbook Pro 10.9.1 - Rane 62 - and 2 Technics 1200's. I followed all of the instructions to configure my setup properly; however, every single time I click "apply" to the configuration, I get an error message saying VDJ unexpectedly quit. I'm pretty much out of options since I haven't received a response from the VDJ team in awhile.
Thank You!
Tim

I don't have a 62 to test with, but I'll have a quick play and see if I can replicate your issue with my SL2.

OK, booted OS X (10.9.1), installed SL2 drivers, rebooted.
Opened VDJ, configured this:
Inputs: Timecodes
Outputs: External Mixer
Soundcard: 4-In/4-Out Card > SL2
Clicked Apply and it worked fine.
To that end:
Does it still crash if you leave the inputs as None?
If so, does it still crash if you configure it to your inbuilt soundcard (with no timecode inputs obviously)?
Finally, does it still crash if you use the advanced setup mode and configure it like this:
Deck 1/Rane/Outputs 1&2
Deck 2/Rane/Outputs 2&4
Timecode 1/Rane/Inputs 1&2
Timecode 2/Rane/Inputs 3&4

I notice that the web page only covers output settings.
If you're trying to set VDJ up for DVS then you need to select inputs too.
