Hi,
I was wondering is it possible to use the Denon MC3000's gain, bass, mid and treble as a hardware mixer and not through the midi via virtual Dj.

Love the controller but I would prefer hardware control over each channel and not via VDJ.

Yes, it can easily be configured that way. I have the MC6000 and use it in 2 deck external mode.

This topic is about the MC3000, not the MC6000.

Sorry, but the MC3000 does not have hardware mixer capabilities, so can only be used in master/headphones configuration.

NOTE: The MC6000 is a full hardware analogue mixer as well as MIDI controller, so as above can be optionally configured for 2 channel hardware mixing.
 
Actually it can't.

The MC3000 does not offer a "hardware mixer" option. It has two audio inputs, but these are directly feed to the master out.

PS: Even the new MC6000 MKII will not offer a "true" hardware mixer option the way MC6000 did (no INT mix mode for the USB audio)
 
Thanks for the fast response guys, that is a pity about the hardware mixing option. other than that it is a great controller.
 
Sorry, I just assumed the MC3000 had the same hardware mixer but 2 channel only. That's pretty poor to be honest!

I have been using the 3000 now for a few months at almost 3 gigs a week and I have to say I really really wish it had a hardware mixer version.

Other than that it is a perfect bit of kit

I was thinking of getting the 6000, but maybe waiting and going for the MK2, reading this post has made me decide the best option for me is a 6000 mk1 !
 
I would agree with that. The MC3000 and MC6000 mk2 are poor in comparison.
