Topic: Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I just got a pair of these bad boys, but notice not everything is mapped or if it can even be mapped. So hopefully someone can help with the scripting cause I still cant figure that all out. Plus some general scripting I cant figure out and request for updating.

First,

Loop Mode Button: When you press this button you are suppose to be able to have the loops 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 1/2, etc... on the display screen then use the Needle Search area to activate your desired loops. And when the Slip Mode is active break down the beats into 1/2, 1/4, 1/3, etc... with the Needle Search area.

Second,

Slip Mode Button: The LED button says on all the time, and I would like it off until I activate Slip Mode. Also when Slip Mode is active the Jog Display does not have the red jog circle indicating where the track is currently at.

Third,

Beat Count Bars On The Display: This is mainly a personally thing cause I know it's on the computer screen at the top, but would be nice to have the beat count bars on the display along with the beats measures...yea, yea, count in ur head I know (but the decks have that option).

I think that's it....lol at least for now. Thanks for any ones help on this!

UPdate: Ok I figured out the script for turning the LED on when Slip Mode is active. (effect "slipmode" active ? on)

Well I have yet to figure the rest out. Anyone got anything?

what does it say for each of the controls, I can't help unless I see what you are working with.

What do you mean? Like in the mapper? If so for example, Loop Mode Button has Loop_Mode - Smart_Loop

Maybe he's looking for the exact function of this button in Rekordbox to be done in VDJ.

CDJ Loop Mode functionality is only available when using CD, USB, and possibly with rekordbox. When used as a MIDI or HID device the button is just a button. We mapped the button to the toggle VirtualDJ's Smart Loop mode.

Slip mode - the CDJ-2000nexus was released before VirtualDJ had a native Slip Mode function. You can easily update the button's functionality by changing the button action to slip_mode. Use the same for the LED_* mapping to show the mode state.

The display information is limited to the firmware's design. The wave form area only allows for the waveform and cue point info to be sent from the software. And the new rhythm display on the unit is only for CD/USB media modes.
