1- ENGLISH
Here is the fourth version of the Skin Millennium.
Directly inspired by the previous Millennium and influenced by the Pioneer design, this time it is conceived for a laptop. Two colors are available, the traditional Blue and Red and a Yellow and Gold version (coming soon).
Several resolutions are available (1600x900 for the moment, the other coming soon).
To maintain a large browser, I minimized the decks and the waves size. However all the commands needed to mix with the mouse are available, while remaining perfectly suited to external controller.
Despite this, the "PAGE" button enlarges your songs list on full screen, to make your search easier. Two loading areas allow you to load your tracks directly in this page.
The "OPTIONS" button displays a panel of common features of Virtual DJ. You will find the settings for the master output, microphone and headphone as well as all the usual VDJ options.
On the same page the "INFO" button display some explanations on the skin.
TO HELP YOUR MIX I ADDED SEVERAL ALARMS :
- An alarm when a loop is activated
- An alarm when the pitch remained at 0 (which is not necessarily a default)
- An alarm when the BPM of the 2 loaded songs are different *
- An alarm when the two tracks are not synchronized.
- A recurring alarm when the song playback reaches the end (which is also found in "PAGE 2", so as you are not to be surprised when you are absorbed through a song search)
* To ensure that the alarm works, it is necessary to install the PhantomDeejay Watchdog Plugin ( http://fr.virtualdj.com/addons/12817/WatchDog.html ) and enable it in the "Effect" menu and then "Other" .
VARIOUS OPTIONS :
- A indicator above the waves indicates the gap between the two songs. At 50 the 2 tracks are synchronized . This indicator can be hidden on page "OPTION".
- The frames of the decks illuminate when it is both read and when the fader is not at 0. This is an adds to the VDJ "Select" function which is illuminated even when the selected deck is not read.
- The functions of the pitch :
Click on blue led = slowly brings the pitch back to 0%
Right-click the pitch slider = Temporary
Double click on the pitch slider = instantaneous Reset
- Click on the song title opens the options window (file info) .
- By click on the BPM window can manually recalculate the BPM (Beat Tap) . Right-click on the BPM opens the adjustment window.
- The songs icons are customized. You find meaning on "INFO" window in "OPTIONS" page.
- Display of the active limiters across different LEDs (decks, master or headphones)
- Designed to work with two types of waveforms , colored or not. If Colored Waveform option is not activated, the waveforms are blue and red or gold and green. The yellow dots indicate a powerful tone (usually low frequency) to improve visual tracking.
To map the two buttons "OPTIONS" and "PAGE", copy this scripts button on your keyboard or controller:

Inspirée directement de la précédente Skin Millenium et influencée par le design Pioneer, elle est cette fois imaginée pour un PC portable. Deux couleurs sont disponibles, le traditionnel Bleu et Rouge et une version Jaune et Verte (à venir).
Plusieurs résolutions sont disponibles (1600x900 pour le moment, les autres à venir).
Afin de conserver une liste de titres suffisamment grande, j'ai réduit au maximum la taille des platines ainsi que celle des ondes. En revanche, toutes les commandes nécessaires au mixe avec la souris sont disponibles, tout en restant parfaitement adaptée à la commande par contrôleur externe.
Malgré cela le bouton "PAGE" permet d'afficher votre liste de titres sur toute la page, histoire de faciliter vos recherches. Deux zones de chargement permettent de charger directement vos titres à partir de cette page.
Le bouton "OPTIONS" permet d'afficher un panneau de fonctions courantes de Virtual DJ. Vous y trouverez les réglages de la sortie master, du micro et du casque ainsi que toutes les options habituelles de VDJ.
Sur cette même page le bouton "INFO" vous permet d'afficher quelques explications sur cette skin.
POUR AIDER AU MIXE J'AI INTEGRE UN GRAND NOMBRE D'ALARMES :
- Une alarme lorsqu'une boucle est active
- Une alarme lorsque le pitch est resté à 0 (ce qui n'est pas forcément un défaut)
- Une alarme lorsque les BPM des 2 titres chargés sont différents *
- Une alarme lorsque les 2 titres ne sont pas synchronisés.
- Une alarme récurrente lorsque le morceau en lecture arrive à sa fin (alarme qu'on retrouve aussi en "PAGE 2", afin de ne pas être surpris lorsqu'on est absorbé par la recherche d'un titre)
* Afin que cette alarme fonctionne, il faut nécessairement installer le Plugin Watchdog de PhantomDeejay (http://fr.virtualdj.com/addons/12817/WatchDog.html) et l'activer dans le menu "Effet" puis "Other".
OPTIONS DIVERSES :
- Une petite réglette au-dessus du spectre indique l'étendu du décalage entre les 2 titres. A 50 les 2 titres sont synchro. Cet indicateur peut être masqué en page "OPTION".
- Les cadres des platines s'éclairent lorsque celle-ci est à la fois en lecture et lorsque le volume (fader) n'est pas à 0. Cela s'ajoute à la fonction "Select" de VDJ qui lui indique la platine sélectionnée même si elle n'est pas en lecture.
- Les différentes fonctions du Pitch :
Clic sur la led = reset progressif
Clic droit sur le potard du pitch = Temporary
Double Clic sur le potard du pitch = Reset instantané
- Un clic sur le titre de la chanson ouvre la fenêtre des options (file info).
- En cliquant sur la fenêtre des BPM cela permet de recalculer les BPM manuellement (Beat Tap). Un clic droit sur les BPM ouvre la fenêtre d'ajustement.
- Les icones des titres ont étés personnalisées. On en retrouve la signification dans la fenêtre "INFO" sur la page "OPTIONS".
- Affichage de l'activation des limiteurs à travers différentes leds (limiteur des platines, du master ou du casque)
- Prévue pour fonctionner avec les 2 types de spectres, colorés ou non. Si la fonction Colored Waveform n'est pas activée, les spectres sont bleu et rouge ou jaune et vert selon la version. Les points jaunes indiquent une onde puissance (généralement une basse) afin d'améliorer le repérage visuel.
Pour mapper les 2 boutons "OPTIONS" et "PAGE", copier ces scripts sur le bouton de votre clavier ou contrôleur :

Problem is, if you want to loop, you don't know, how long it will be and you have to change the length quickly...Take a look at VDJ-Stand.-Skin.

To display this value, just put "%loop" in a textzone. In my skin I put this text into a pannel which appears only when the loop is active.
