Topic: Laptop suggestions

I'm looking into buying a decent laptop for use with virtual dj pro 7.4. The laptop my sister uses is causing her a lot of issues so I want to get her a new one for the holidays. I was thinking around $500 or so I might go a bit higher. The laptop my parents bought her about 3 years ago didn't work at all and we couldn't figure out why so I'm going to turn to those that use this product to give me some tips or suggestions as to what I should get her it would be greatly appreciated.

use 300 to get real v7.4, then buy a used dual core laptop.

Far as I know she has the real virtual dj pro her girlfriend said she paid a few hundred for it back when she got it for my sister.

Most laptops out now should run the software fine, so long as they are optimized to do so. Last time I looked pretty much anything over $400-$450 would most likely run very well.

im using a envy dv7 It is a hp product and works awesome. I have had no issues. Love it ... Best part is I got it for free.. AS my old lap top started smoking.. I have seen these at best buy.. The most important part is to optimize the on board video ram..

But if you think you'll get into video-mixing eventually... Save for now and get a Mac instead...

Disclaimer : PCs can also be used for video mixing.

There are also more plugins available for the PC version of VDJ.

I have the levovo Y470p You get a memory leak if you try to play videos. It has a 1Gb videocard if you disable it, it kinda works. Tried all the workarounds still happens.
