since v7.4 i have been good. but lately my sound is very digital, scratch is a horrible digital sound. And i dont know what happened. I did change to a Vestax vci-400, but it was good until last week. Now the sound is just horrible. Any suggestions.

What do you have your master tempo set at in the performance tab of the config menu?
Are you using a usb 3.0 or 2.0 connection?
How low is your latency set on you sound card? Is it set to auto in the config tab?
Computer specs: Processor? Ram? Video card?
Is the cpu monitor at the top of VDJ peaking out when your scratching?

Does the sound clean up if you pull the latency backwards. Try pure scratch for master tempo, and let me know if either of those help.

ok just to test i downloaded serato dj 1.5 and theres no static or pop clicks or crackles...so what could be causing it in virtual dj

Use the advanced stretch that truly makes allot of difference.
Make sure you don't set your asio to ultra low latency, but to low latency.
And yes... Serato .. true true true...
