No one is bashing VDJ..........where do you guys come up with this shit? Im on the Serato forums everyday and have yet to see someone bash because of this crap. The only ones who are bashing is you cats here!! I think your all wishing they would so youd have another thing to bitch about. And what the hell does VDJ have to do with who BEAMZ decides to use as spokespersons?? Seriously yall are lame.........

They're going in on this dude everywhere! I mean pretty much every DJ who is considered a legend from Grand Master Flash to Jazzy Jeff to Red Alert to Cash Money to so many others have slammed this dude! He might as well move to the woods somewhere! I have never seen anything like this one!

If you Google for his name or any of the rap groups etc. he's claiming to have formed or been involved with, all you get is the exact same profile uploaded to whichever site he can log into and create a page about himself.

I have a DJ that has been coming into my bar claiming that he's been at it for 30+ years and knows everyone. I asked him if he knew about Grandmaster Jay, and he acted like I was a fool to ask. He was like "Of course I know Grandmaster Jay". Instantly I knew he himself was a fraud of some sort. I knew something was fishy about him, when he said he uses and Ipad and a wego. Said he beat juggles with it too. Why are there so many fakes in this biz. It's one thing to be a good and state that, and it doesn't matter what equipment you use, its another to misrepresent yourself completely.

lol, too funny! Yet it goes to show, plenty of DJ's are what I call "Marketing & Promotion!", not legit DJ's! You hear the war stories, but the facts never add up! It's like the DJ's that yells, GOOGLE ME! You know if they're yelling that phrase, something is wrong! I know a lot of DJ's who talk smack, but they show and prove! I've come to realize so many still live in a fantasy world!
After seeing this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7OUmxvY2u0 I am like, Baby Chino is better than this dude and that kid yelling I need to turn it up to a 10 we at 6.5 was way better!

Atomix Created an LE version for Beamz years ago as we have done for hundreds of other products. How companies like Pioneer, Denon, Numark, etc, etc, market their products is totally up to them. Fortunately, and as beatbreaker1 has noted, absolutely no one is talking about VDJ in all of this because VDJ isn't the issue here. The issue here is that it appears Beamz has hired someone to endorse their product, who may have fabricated an elaborate past.. It's my understanding that there will be a statement released by Beamz sometime this week which will hopefully clear some things up.
Best,
Andrew

What would be cool is if Atomix got someone who really is a superstar DJ to endorse Virtual DJ software...

Let me check my diary....

Beamz is a QUALITY product in my opinion! No it's not the future, but I can see how it would benefit a DJ if used properly! Yet this dude, whoever he is has messed up it's name! So I pray they get that fixed!
As far as if anyone is bashing or not. What else is new???

We don't need any superstar DJ's to endorse this product, because us DJ's are putting VDJ on the map with our skills and not relying on marketing and promotion like other companies! Besides, VDJ has the award for best software, so let them cry all they want!

Yeah I know that VDJ is very popular with the typical working DJ - but it's the lack of name DJs seen to be using it that is (at least partially) responsible for it not being taken as seriously.
For example, at the recent BPM exhibition in the UK, Pioneer had a string of very well known DJs performing sets on their stand during the show - including one from BBC Radio One. This not only draws big crowds, but puts into the customers mind that the product is quality because someone they know and respect uses it.
On the other hand, who did Atomix have DJing on their stand? Some VDJ staff and a few forum users.
I don't recall ever seeing a crowd of people on the VDJ stand (and we were set up right next to it).

I see your point bro, I just feel like we're doing a great job without the so called superstar DJ's, because VDJ is a quality product! That's just me, but I feel what you're saying!

Gotta agree with the Coach 100% on that.

My old man had a saying when i was growing up, "tell me who you are with, and ill tell you who you are"...
Lance Armstrong, Wayne Rooney, Mike Tyson, Michael Vick, Tiger Woods... all famous people who lost endorsement deals from worldwide corporations because of their actions.
In marketing image is EVERYTHING! Yes this has nothing to do with VDJ, but one of their selling points is VDJ, putting the brand dead smack in the middle of a plagiarism scandal involving a big mouth spokes person who has no credibility, credentials, or shame...
One marketing tactic is subliminal messages, as people see the advertisement and read (the same people VDJ is advertising to) about this ordeal on social media, the pitch is quickly followed by a parade of negative comments that people are associating with all the brands involved.
This is an opportunity for VDJ to take the high road and distance themselves from these brands who have been ridiculed to death and who's reputation and credibility has been smeared.
We need to understand Christmas is just around the corner and many ignorant parents will fall for the pitch and pick up this product for their kids at best buy, lets face it its not a professional piece of equipment as they claim, and the hope is that these kids will adopt the software and grow with it into the future as they pursue a career in the industry. I get it!
Here is an idea for the VDJ team... pay Jazzy Jeff to try out the software and give his honest feedback, get well known DJs to do the same... we all know the potential we have here, and im certain these DJ celebrities will be pleasantly surprised and will give positive reviews, think of the positive publicity that would come from this...
Over the years ive avoided doing business with certain individuals in the industry because of their bad reputation in various aspects of the trade, i really dont want my name said in the same sentence as theirs. Ive lost money in the short term, but i have a reputation that i dont screw around and take my business seriously, and over the last couple of years ive expanded into more"professional" ventures in the industry...
[edit] at least put out a statement distancing yourself from the mess this has become...
