Topic: Vestax typhoon not playing?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello, I am trying to setup and play this controller with virtual DJ Pro7, this system came with VDJ LE but it should work with the Pro version? If yes, I followed all instructions from the vestax manual, connected to my laptop via USB and chose the USB switch and connected the Master Out to my speakers. In the CONFIG, I choose INPUTS:None, OUTPUTS: Master: Right Channel/Headphones...
Soundcard: Speakers [TYPHOON DJ Controller].

I load a song into both decks and I can see the PLAY and CUE buttons on the controller blinking in time with the PLAY buttons on both decks in VDJ, when I press PLAY on either deck on the controller, the PLAY button is pressed in the VDJ deck but nothing happens, help please?

Please register your Pro serial number to your account http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest v7.4 version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.)

If your Typhoon came with VirtualDJ LE, then its serial number should entitle you to a discount off the cost of upgrading (Providing that it's not second hand and has not already been used.)

If nothing happens when you press PLAY then it means that your sound is not configured correctly or there is a problem with the driver. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Typhoon.html

I am setting this unit up for a friend of mine who does not know much about computers, I will pass along your message to him. This controller is way too slow and feels "old" but I guess for him it's a start. Anyway, I am able to get most things working but immediate problem on the controller is the left deck when backspinning is much slower than the right deck, is there a setting for this please?

Not to worry, i found it, it was the wheel sensitivity setting on the back of this controller, appreciate the help! For anyone reading this, don't bother buying this controller, even the regular cheap mixtrack from Numark works much better than this unit.
