Topic: Help with Denon Hc5000 please!

I hooked up mu Denon Hc5000 to my new windows 8 machine and installed the asio drivers tried both versions and when I config the device external mixer and asio soundcard with the denon hc5000 selected when I choose apply it says soundcard not connected or setup properly. I did the same thing on a windows 7 machine and it works properly. anyone have any suggestions.
