Hi

Once again I call on your help, I notice now I'm getting to grips with vdj that the BPM is incorrect on a lot of my tracks and now the BPM is important to locate the correct tune I'm finding it hard going. Now I know you can change manual style but that is a little long winded with my mass collection, please tell me there is an easy way and please don't tell me I need pro to do this because I'm still saving :)

Thank you all

Incorrect in what way? If it's half or double what you'd expect then you can try restricting the BPM analysis to a certain range in config.

To change a group of files, you can make use of the filter folders to isolate those particular files and then change the BPM via file info and 'apply to all'.

Ok,

If it reads 116 in the browser than it comes out at 117.81 why is this? I had a real cheap bit of software that could do it to the exact but this seems to struggle a little I can work with it but its a little off putting when searching. I understand that BPM has nothing to do with pitch and tunes will fall out if not checked and played with this is part of the dj skill I like.

I'm just a little shocked that it reads one figure but its something else.

Mercy

Names of some of the tracks that are messed up please....

What do you mean it "comes out" at 117.81? Comes out where?

Where is it "reading one figure" and where is it "something else"?

If the bpm of the track is 116 but you load it onto a deck and sync is activated or you've changed the pitch then the display on the deck will show what the track is currently playing at (117.81). And bpm has EVERYTHING to do with pitch... when you adjust the pitch the bpm will change.

Ok I got it the last comment cleared it up sync engaged, now I see what I wasn't seeing before thank you and he's i feel stupid but will press on until famous in my own town at least.

Just another reason way "sync" is bad........ Lmao, I couldn't resist. Glad you got it sorted out though.

There's nothing wrong with sync, mp3, key lock, hard drives, controllers, loops, sample banks, auto cue, cue bank, powered speakers, subs that weigh less than 200 lbs, or any other innovation we enjoy. I'm not laughing, and I couldn't resist either.
