If you don't need mixed music, then you can simply use a media player such as iTunes, WinAmp, Windows Media Player, etc.

Otherwise, VirtualDJ Home FREE, Broadcaster, Basic and the full Pro all support the automix feature. Please see the following page for a comparison of features: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

Simply load your music into the playlist and then enable automix (See the user manual for further details.)

NOTE: You might be able to upgrade from Atomix MP3 to the full VirtualDJ Pro at a discount by going to http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

i have a Gemini PMD-02 mixer that i use with atomiix can this be use the same way with Virtual DJ pro Basic which i am considering to purchase secondly can the virtual DJ pro basic do auto play wihout me spending hours behind the computer and keyboard i am on a limited budget so the virtual DJ pro basic is my option if it can do autoplay my musics
Thanks for your expert advise

Yes, VirtualDJ Pro Basic can be used with external DJ audio mixers. Simply plug your master output (E.g: Laptop's headphone socket) into a spare channel on the mixer.

In Pro Basic, you can also optionally output the sound from each deck to a separate channel on the mixer providing that you either have two sound cards or a suitable multi-channel sound card such as Numark DJIO.

This allows you to use the real hardware volume slider, EQ knobs, crossfader, etc. and headphone PFL of the mixer to mix instead of using the on-screen mixer with your mouse, giving you more 'hands on' control. Of course, you won't see the controls in VirtualDJ move (This requires a MIDI capable mixer and the full VirtualDJ Pro), but you don't really need that when using a real hardware mixer (Simply look at the mixer itself to see where the knobs/sliders are.)

Pro Basic supports automix and will automatically play music from the playlist when it's active. You can add as many songs as you like to the playlist and add/remove songs to it on the fly. You can also add whole folders by browsing to them, press CTRL+A to select all files, then drag them to the playlist.

1. just open the xml fil of the skin in vdj/ skins. if you have the ability, you might can change certain colors.
or just download another skin thats fits your needs.

2. try this setting

The main panel in the middle shows the contents of the folder and/or playlist that you have selected in the folder list on the left-hand side.

The playlist panel on the right shows the current loaded playlist and this will not change unless you enable the autoload playlist option and click on a saved playlist.

To learn more about how the browser, playlist and automix works, we would recommend reading the user manual (This is for VirtualDJ Pro Full, but most of it also applies to Pro Basic.)
