Who told you it wouldn't work with VDJ? That's not strictly true. It will work, but you can only send the main output of VDJ to channel 3 of the mixer - that's it. It's only got one USB (stereo) audio channel.

For that reason, you won't be able to use it with timecode for VDJ either. If you read up on timecode you'll realise that it requires two stereo inputs plus two stereo outputs. One in/one out for each deck, because the (timecode) signal has to go from the deck into VDJ, then back out again (as audio) from VDJ to the mixer.

Yes - if you also buy a suitable audio interface.

Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Timecode%20Requirements.html and http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20configure%20my%20timecode.html

You will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional at a discount to be able to use timecode. The version you have now is a limited edition (LE) that will only work with Hercules DJConsole MK4.

NOTE: The Hercules DJConsole MK4 already has a 4-in/4-out sound card built-in, so you could use this for timecode if you upgrade to the full Pro. You shouldn't need to purchase an additional external sound card.
