Topic: Beginner's Headphones Question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

So I'm starting my own DJ gig. One of the problems is finding a pair of good-quality headphones. I tried the Beats Exclusive, great sound, but they're so expensive ($300 ish).

Can anyone recommend a good pair? Under $150, please.

Beats is all about the brand/image. Like designer clothes, you're paying for the name.

The best headphones are made by companies that specialise in headphones and have been making them for decades.

Look at stuff by Sennheiser and Beyer for example.
