Look for NVIDIA video with dedicated graphics memory. PC's designed for gaming typically have the strongest video and cooling power. Don't compromise when it comes to video specs.

I have a Asus 1.9Ghz i7 8Gb Ram
The HD4000 is default on mine and is Not suitable for Video mixing
My laptop also has NVIDEA gt-620m when this is enabled for VDJ video mixing is Possible.

No, that model is not good enough for video mixing. Find one with an nvidia 600 series or better video card. Make sure you get an output that you want, either HDMI, VGA, or both.

About 4 months ago I purchased a Mac Book Pro and had to return it because I was getting pausing and the dragging effect you get when the dedicated video card does not have the ummmmph it needs to work the 1080p videos, 720 and below works great. I stopped by best buy and the geeks told me this here laptop is what the geeks are buying now over mac and is top of the line for gamers. to my surprise it was an ASUS Republic of Gamers lap top. 3 gig dedicated video card, I didn't know they made them that high, upgradeable to 32 gigs of ram, a spot for a second hard drive, very important for Video DJs, and upgradable to solid state hard drive. YES Asus is good enough for all your DJ needs. I have fully upgraded my and have never been happier since I have been DJing. I am a full blown music video DJ and this machine is the best of the best, no one in my area has a machine as powerful as my yet, they laugh at my Asus but I have the most memory of any of my boys, the most they have is about 16 and I double that, they laugh at Asus but they all use external hard drives to run their music or videos because the don't have the hard drive space. and best of all, you can buy this machine, fully upgrade all components, get the two year warranty and the best antivirus on the market for two year subscription, and take the wife out to dinner and still have money left over from the Mac Book Pro you just returned. Just make sure it the newest republic of gamers, model G75VX, or newer if one exists.

If I ever go laptop, it will be an ASUS. All of my builds have been ASUS motherboards, and ASUS video cards.
