Hey Guys/Gals,
Ok I'm am wanting to record a video mix. Its seem when I use the record option the videos quality is crap compared to what I'm playing. Playing videos VDJ it works fine, just recording sucks (at least quality wise). Is there a specific encoder I need to use?

For a PC try Fraps or Bandicam. Bandicam gives you more options but both will work. If on a Mac try ScreenFlow.
Hope these help.....

I use FRAPS - works flawlessly, but then you need to compress it afterwards. However, finally I have got a computer that allows VDJ to record the video without crashing or slowing down. To do it natively you need to follow the steps here http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Recording%20Video%20HowTo.html
Windows 8 seems to have made video recording possible, due to the efficient processor use. My specs are 32GB ram, 3GB video card. However, I had the same specs on my windows 7 machine and it had problems. Windows 8 no problem.
