Topic: Improving the sound quality of Virtual Dj Vs Serato

I've been a mobile and sound reinforcement tech for years while Virtual Dj is my favorite djing software I have found myself having to use Serato everytime I had to deal with sound quality wether its for my PA sound system or when I am tuning others sound system the sound quality between serato and Virtual Dj is an extremely big difference tryi it out and see. I would like or wish hope that Virtual Dj work on the sound quality for everyone as it is important to people like me to do my job properly! THANKS IN ADVANCE


PLEASE VIRTUAL DJ LOOK INTO THIS!!!!! I've been a virtual dj user for years and it would be nice to stick with Virtual Dj for all my needs. Thanks

Which version are you using? The sound engine got an overhaul in 7.3 and this argument has been done to death many times.

Make sure you are running 7.4, make sure you double check your sound config and advanced options. Check you don't need a Ground loop Isolator and that the interference from that isn't affecting your sound quality.

Number of things you can do and plenty of info in the Wiki (clicky) to make sure there is nothing else causing the issue.

I assume you're using the same soundcard for both comparisons too?
 
In addition to the above, if you use keylock/master tempo, make sure that you have selected CONFIG -> Performances -> Advanced Stretching - This will make a considerable difference (Fast stretching is the default to avoid problems on older/lower specification computers.)
