is anyone using the pioneer DDj-S1 with VDJ, any issues or settings need to be done ?

The Pioneer DDJ-S1 is natively supported https://virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ%20Controllers.html so it will operate as a plug n play device. However the S1 is not bundled with VirtualDJ LE version, so you will need to purchase (upgrade from your MC6000 LE) the Pro Full version.
