This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Quick question, it's a newbie question. What is the actual difference between Virtual DJ LE and pro? Thanks

With pro you can download unlimited skins and video/audio effects, you can map your controller to anything you want, you can use any soundcard that VDJ supports (which is almost any), up dates have always been free for Registered PRO users....... if your debating on if you should go PRO the answer is yes.........

No I'm not debating over which one to get, but I received Virtual DJ LE with a Numark Mixtrack. How many skins/effects can I get before I need to upgrade to Pro? Also, if I have VDJ LE, will VDJ still tell me "You need Pro so this midi controller will only work for 10 minutes."?

Thank you so much for that that really helped. Finally, I'm on a tight budget. Which VDJ would you recommend? Thank you so much (in advance)

Really it depends on what you wanna do but I'd say just go VDJ PRO FULL and then you can just do whatever you want with the software.

if you want to use it with a controller you need the full pro version as it's the only version that works with controllers.

The difference with the software is that if you use LE it is designed to work with your mixtrack and pro is designed to work with mixtrack plus get you access to all downloads on this site I.E. skins, samples, mappers for controllers etc as mentioned above. Now if you plan on going pro then VDJ does offer a discount to VDJ Pro with the LE licence as you only pay a certain price by using your LE licence instead of full price. If you go to the http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html and enter the Serial Number of your LE you will see what the discount price is for you upgrading to VDJ Pro.

Good Luck

So let me get this straight real quick. Do I need to purchase pro to use it with my Mixtrack? Thanks for all your help guys.

If your Mixtrack came with VDJLE then no, you can just use that version but you will be limited on what you can do with it (mapping, advanced sond config, eyc, etc.).............
