Topic: Virtual dj 7.3 and Numark I/O problems.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hello ,I am a movil dj , and I just bought a Numark DJ I/O audio card, and I cannot get it to work properly...

I am using a Virtual DJ pro basic 7.3 version, Windows vista 32 bit..
I need some help , I tried many different set ups l use a single out put, main out put and head phones, safe mode, high latency, and nothing, it seems to work for a while ,but always end up not working properly, either stops ,the sound goes bad,or song stop once in a while..

I really need some help on this one, any comments or ideas helps a lot...

Thank you for your time!!

Hi,
Have you switched the power settings to the USB ports to ALWAYS ON? I think your problem might be there.

I did that ,and work for a while , but every few minutes the sound gets terrible noisy ,any other idea?
can you recommend another audio card?

By the way thank you for the advice, I really appreciated your time...

Do not buy another soundcard, until you are sure the DJIO, is the piece that is not working properly. Did you try a different cable, a different computer, a different OS. I know that Vista was not the most liked OS for DJs.

Ok, I'll do that, but do you think windows 7 or 8 will be a better choice? because I am planning on upgrading my laptop, but I have a extra xp laptop..

I tried different cable, different ports, different settings and nothing seams to work,I even reinstall the drivers again, and again.....I may try the 64 bit driver ,to see what happen..

If anybody else have a suggestion I'll really appreciated it..

Thank you sooo much for the advice, I think its time to upgrade from vista,,,I'll get windows 8 and I let you know what happen..

Thanks again for taking the time to answer my question..

Cheers!

I just upgraded my laptop from windows vista 32 bit to windows 7 32 bit .............and dj I/o looks to work ok with the 7 OS, I saw few times the cpu meter on the red side ,and have few audio interruptions ,but I find out that the laptop was down loading some windows updates...

After that looks like its working properly , and the cpu meter stay in the green part....
I just want to let you know guys just in case some one else is having the same problem...
I will post any other issues if there is any in the next few days...

So the main problem was the OS windows vista and numark dj I/o not a good combination...

Cheers!!!!

hi load djio 64 bit on your laptop will find on numark.com

Hey Everyone,

I just recently found out that the Numark Dj/Io does not work with usb 3.0. Is that really true? Is there a fix or another sound card that I could use with Virtual Dj Pro 7.4? Thanks.

I don't have a DJ I/O to test - but that would seem odd that it isn't working. USB 3.0 ports are suppose to step down to USB 2.0 if a 2.0 device is plugged into it. Have you tried using a USB 2.0 Hub between the DJ I/O and the computer?

Also, you might get a better technical answer about its support from Numark.

Here is a up date:
After I tried everything above, the I/O did not work ,only did for a while, anyway at the end the real fix was to UP DATE the" bios" from my laptop website, after that up date everything works great, no issues to this date,I also did the "optimized" settings from the Virtual dj site .

I hope this information helps ........still if you have any questions post it I may be available to help since I tried so many different things before I got dj I/o to work with my toshiba laptop and windows 7.

I think Numark DJ I/O do not support usb 3.0 only 2.0 and below, look at the numark website for a compatible driver.
