Topic: Karaoke Tracks ?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes them to load their cdg track's into VDJ. I have approx 90k of them and to load it takes 40 mins, is this normal or am I doing something stupid.

Are you talking about the first time you add the folder with the tracks to the library?
 
I have no difference about loading Mp3 or an Karaoke File. Is the same here.
 
I got no issue with karaoke tracks loading ... I see no difference between mp3 and cdg maybe you mean the initial scan of the tracks ????

THAT takes some time espescially when you have to get a new external drive ....

Since you say 40mins. I assume you are importing and scanning your tracks into your library. If your Karaoke files are ZIPed they take much longer to scan.
 
all my karaoke tracks are zip files. they will take a large amount of time to scan the first time. do not do this live you it will stop vdj from responding. do this at the shop or at home before you do a gig. also do not recurse them well playing live. i have 50 000 karaoke tracks on my system and i am not a karaoke dj i recurse and add to search db every couple of weeks while i'm in the shop just to make sure i don't recurse while i'm dj'ing
