This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I previously read a thread on this topic before but could not allocate it so I'm reposting the same thread.. My question is what are the best DJ direct drive turntales aside from the Tech 12's?? I'm looking for a turntale as similar as possible to the tech 12 brand taking into account performance, stability, durability & appearance? thanks in advance DJ's your help is appreciated.

Just curious but if you want something as close to Technics 1200s as possible why not just get Technics 1200s? IMHO Numark TTXs are awesome! Way more modern features like adjustable start and brake speeds, keylock, option for a straight tone-arm, no annoying ground wire, digital pitch display, repositionable pitch slider, adjustable torque, USB out for recording vinyl... and they're half the price of 1200!

thanks guys!!!

Hands down the Stanton ST 150. The durability, look and feel of the 1200.

thank you xcakid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Stanton ST 150 is in fact truly amazing in every which way...very impressive. I'm going on Ebay to get a price.

is there any difference between the Stanton ST 150 and the ST 150HP other than price?

Stanton 150, Numark TTX and DJ Tech 1300's (Like using tech 12s) are beast and the Numark TT200's are not far behind

what do you guys think of the Numark TT 100 turntables? someone is selling them both almost new for 220 canadian dollars. although I love the Stanton ST 150 a lot more But would love your feedback on the Numark TT 100. thanks!

tt200 or tt500 or Stanton 150, I would not go for the tt100 think they are belt driven

If it's belt driven stay as far away from them as possible.

I own a pair of TTX and really like them.

I don't like Vestax PDX, I can't bring myself to pay over $700 for one big piece of plastic. IMO

Stanton Str8 150's are a nice solid choice

Audio-Technica AT-LP1240-USB looks like a real solid choice as well, basically a OEM clone of the stanton

NO BLET DRIVES!

The Numark TT-200 is decent, but if you're going to do a lot of scratching and juggling I would go with a TT-500 or the TTX. I owned a piar of TT-200's and after about a months worth of use the motors died on me, they just don't have the torque to handle the demands of scratching.

anyone recommend the Gemini PT 2100 or 2400 turntables? they look very similar to 1200's... as we speak i'm doing a search on youtube.

found this interesting article link regarding the Gemini PT 2400 turntable. Also a very affordable turntable according to my search on Ebay. Although i've never tested this turntable out and it's always nice to get feedback from other users.

Personal experience and the experience of a few DJs I know. Gemini products are crap!!!

Stanton ST150 or the new Reloop RP8000 is the way to go. Just my .02 cents

thanks xcakid for your feedback through your expertise! much appreciated and I will stay away from their turntables.

I dont think they are to as great as 1200's, Numark ttx, or Stanton 150's, but I use the Audio Technica Lp120's. Cant beat $200 a piece.
