thanks for all the responses but the only one that came close is the the video with the ns7 and even that does not count because of the active platters.
all the videos with TCV don't count i am looking for controllers with touch activated platters. sorry if i did not make that clear at first

I have a Stanton SC System 1 setup. It's basically an improved NS7/V7 setup but with bigger platters & motorized pitch control. Anyway, I can't scratch for **** yet (only had this for about a week) so I won't post a video unless you really want one, but what I can tell you is that there is less latency than some timecode setups I've played with. Every single thing I do is registered instantly. The great part is that VDJ is so well-programmed that even when my ancient 3.4GHz Core 2 Duo CPU is running at 100% and VDJ starts to lag & freeze up, this thing still precisely registers every single movement without a single hiccup in the audio.
So if you're worried about audio quality/latency/realism issues, they're non-existent. And with the hidden torque setting on my SC System cranked to the max (by default it's set really low), startup time is more than twice as fast as vinyl.
Also, I don't know why you would want to attempt to scratch on something without motorized platters. That's like trying to drive a car without mirrors.

thanks for the input brothers but at the request of a few other djs and selectors i tried something else. i downloaded the intro version of another software and ran it it with my mixtrack pro.
I took smack picked 10 tracks ranging from bob marley's hypocrites to akon and eminem smack that to sizzla's rise to the occassion to a tribe called quest's scenario, and did basic open-fader baby scratches on both wares using the same mixtrack on the same 2 ghz core 2 duo bootcamped macbook with 4 gigs of ram.
The only thing that was different was the software!
I never used the other software before. In fact before last night I can say I have only used virtual dj in my 6-7 years of digital djing.
(truth be told i still do not get the other software)
However the other software performed 100% better fresh off the download.
I'm talking no tweaking, no adjusting, no finger release torque vectoring (no disrespect) it Just scratched!
Everything my hand did translated to the software with no jumps or release issues. (and that was with the NOT SO WELL BUILT mixtrack pro.
All i can say in closing is I love My Virtual Dj and i truly hope this is one of the FIRST issues that has been properly stomped out in THE UP COMING 8.
Looking forward to scratching "anything you can do i can do better" towards my friends that use other software!!!
Virtual Dj 2 Di Universe!

I agree with this statement 100%. I love virtual dj and is my software I prefer. However I feel like it lacks in two core features. One of them being the scratch response/latency as stated above. (The other is the software sound quality.) Vdj has tons of other amazing features which keeps it ahead of the othe software choices on the market. I just hope that the scratch response and sound quality is drastically improved in vdj 8.

@ DJRATR .......... just watch this my dude! http://youtu.be/jAxM5rtp5-I
i agree nothing says scratch like motorized platters but if you watch the video above..... well it speaks for itself.
one of the worst constructed big major brand controllers in the world...... yet it is accurate as hell with no active platter!

I'm no Qbert but that can be done with VDJ and yes it was good but there was nothing really special about it, my opinion and not trying to offend anyone. I'll pull out the Mixdeck and try to get something posted....... VDJ can scratch as good as Intro.
