HI,
When I use Virtual DJ 7 at home it runs perfect. I mean awesome. I spin music video with my Mixtrack Pro and load times are quick and my CPU usage is about 25%. But when i take my setup on the road for a gig, my CPU is at 90% when I start spinning. During load times, my CPU peaks to 100%. I tried cutting off the wi-fi adapter and nothing--still runs horrible. Strangely, this just happened recently, I'm going to try changing my USB cables to see if this will make a difference. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this.
Thanks,
Kevin

100% CPU while loading a song is normal - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/I%20experience%20high%20CPU%20usage%20when%20loading%20a%20song%20on%20a%20deck.html
If you still have high CPU once loading has finished, then this could be due to resizing or maximising the skin. Depending on your graphic card's capabilities, this may result in higher CPU usage. Please use the skin at its correct native resolution or download a custom skin that natively matches your screen's resolution: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/skins.html

Also, what is different between when using VirtualDJ at home and when at your gig? If it's all exactly the same, but the only difference is that you are outputting video full-screen at your gig but small video window when mixing at home, then it could be your external display's resolution is set too high for your system to handle. If you are outputting to standard definition displays and/or only using standard definition video, set it to 1024x768 or 800x600.
